I’m Brett McGinnis. I’m a hard working Producer, Director, Writer, Editor and Camera Operator. I grew up near Butler Pennsylvania, and have always wanted to make films and television shows. After graduating from Moniteau High School, I pursued a film degree (Digital Media Production) at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. I graduated with my Bachelor degree and a 3.7 GPA.
After obtaining my degree, I began work with marketing company Right Brain + Left Brain, producing commercials, promotional videos and web videos for their clients. Around the same time I also started writing camera blogs for hdslrshooter.com.
I was hired by a California based production company to direct, shoot and edit TV commercials and web content for Walmart in the Pittsburgh region. To date, I've directed over 50 Walmart television commercials.
I’ve also had my fair share of time in front of the camera. Aside from appearing in a commercial for Slippery Rock University, and a music video for punk rock band FareWell (2007), I was cast for the second season of Ghost Hunters Academy on the SyFy Channel (2010). It was a competition reality show, and I was eliminated halfway through the season. It was an awesome experience.
I strive for perfection and quality. I'm dedicated to my craft and clients, giving them the highest quality product possible.
